Welcome, ladybird! You’ve landed in a space designed to help you know and love the Bible, with me—Marie—as your big sister and guide. Whether you’re new to Scripture or a seasoned reader, I’m thrilled you’re here. Let’s dive into who I am and what this website is all about.

Meet Marie

Hi, I’m Marie McGaha, and I’m so grateful you’ve found this little corner of the internet. I’m a Bible-loving mentor with a heart for helping women grow in faith, one page at a time. As the oldest of three girls, I’ve got a slightly bossy but fiercely adventurous spirit. I’ve called cities like Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Dallas home, and now I’m settling into suburban life in Leesburg, VA with my husband (it’s a work in progress!). Most days, you’ll find me serving in my local church, experimenting with new recipes, or chasing the perfect patio for a coffee break.

Words have been my love since I was twelve, thanks to a little help from “Hooked on Phonics.” That passion led me to study Literature and Education in college, teach a classroom of lively 9th graders, and eventually follow Jesus. As my faith grew, so did my love for the Word of God, which took me to seminary. There, I earned a Master’s in Theology with a focus on Bible Exposition—yes, I survived Greek with only a few scars! My mission is simple: to show you how the Bible, described as “living and active” (Hebrews 4:12), can transform your life, just as it has mine.

About the Website

MarieMcGaha.com is a place for women who want to deepen their relationship with God through His Word. Think of it as a cozy, virtual table where we sit together with a Bible, a pen, and a willing heart. Our Mission

This website exists to help you know and love the Bible—not as a daunting textbook, but as a living conversation with God. I believe that sitting down with Scripture can change your “one wild and precious life” (thank you, Mary Oliver), and I’m here to guide you with encouragement, challenges, and a whole lot of cheering. My prayer is that what you find here doesn’t just stay with you but ripples out to bless others.

Who It’s For

MarieMcGaha.com is for any woman who wants to grow closer to God through His Word. Whether you’re brand new to faith, rediscovering the Bible, or a longtime student, you belong here. No theology degree or perfect prayers required—just a heart ready to take one step forward.

Why I Started This

After years of serving in the local church and studying Scripture, I’ve seen how the Bible can pierce soul and spirit, joint and marrow. But I’ve also seen how intimidating it can feel to start. That’s why I created this space—to come alongside you like a big sister, offering practical tools, biblical insights, and a reminder that you can know and love the Bible. It’s my joy and honor to teach you, with the hope that it shapes your life and the lives of those around you.
